During early 2011 the first FloatCHECKER PT was designed, a prototype built, and trials conducted in Aberdeen for an oil and gas major. The operator loaned Sudelac a number of old pieces of float equipment to conduct tests with, to begin the process of establishing acceptance criteria, and assessing the technology. The FloatCHECKER PT kit worked first time around, was easy to handle, and since has proven itself safe and practical to use. The operator conducted a design review, after witnessing a demonstration, and after some weeks of evaluation deemed the product safe and approved for use. The same client became the first commercial user of the FloatCHECKER in Aberdeen during the summer of 2011.
